Our story
Edward and Oliver first met when Ed asked Oliver to appraise a barn conversion he’d developed.
Other collaborations followed and, somewhere along the way, a bromance blossomed.

Ed had spent over 15 years working in Tech in various Exec roles with a property investment company running alongside; but with three young children, wanted to work closer to home and follow his passion for property.
Oliver had spent more than 25 years as an estate agent in Leamington, initially co-founding Knight & Rennie back in the early noughties and building a loyal following along the way.
As the friendship grew, they discovered shared values, a love of property, a sense of fun and a distinct vision for what Cove could be. Eventually, they both decided to take action, build their vision and Cove was conceived.
Cove is the result:
Relationship-led
Community-Rooted
Customers First
Every Property Treated with Style & Care
Oliver says:
Edward is the strategist. Fifteen years in tech, the last five running businesses at C-suite level, means he knows how to build something that actually works for the person using it.
He’s also built and renovated property himself and manages his own portfolio of rental homes, so when he’s advising someone on whether to extend or move, or talking a landlord through a decision, it comes from real experience, not theory.
He’s patient, kind, and a brilliant dad to three. He holds exactly the same view I do: the customer comes first, every time. He’s also got the best hair out of the two of us.
Edward says:
Oliver is the one who’s done this for real, for a long time.
Over 25 years in estate agency, including launching and building Knight & Rennie from scratch and most recently growing another local agent’s sales business. When he tells a seller what their house is worth, or a landlord how to handle a tricky tenancy, he’s not guessing, he’s seen it before. What sets him apart isn’t just the experience or his wardrobe, it’s that he genuinely cares.
He’ll tell a client the honest answer even when it’s not the easy one, because he’d rather do right by them than close the deal fast. He knows Leamington street by street, and he’s genuinely part of this community, not just working in it.
Down time is his bike or his yoga mat, and he goes out of his way to support the independent businesses around him, especially the coffee shops (he’s partial to more than one macchiato a day). He’s hands-on across everything we do, sales, lettings, new homes, not just the parts he knows best. He believes the customer comes first, always, and he’s built his whole career proving it.
Oliver says:
Cara is one of those people who has done a bit of everything — and is annoyingly good at most of it. She’s incredibly organised, unflappable and quietly keeps an eye on all the things Edward and I would otherwise forget about.
Her career before Cove is pretty brilliant too. She spent years working with horses, in racing and dressage, travelled around Europe, worked for Henrietta Knight and even rode a couple of Queen Elizabeth II’s horses. She then swapped the stables for business, spending more than a decade supporting CEOs, founders and some seriously high-profile people. So keeping Edward and me in check should, in theory, be relatively straightforward.
Cara now runs her own business, CO Virtual Services, and looks after our bookkeeping and plenty of the important stuff behind the scenes at Cove. She’s calm, ridiculously capable and someone we trust completely.
Outside work she’s happiest with a coffee and a plane ticket. She’s walked the Inca Trail, loves Chiang Mai and is always plotting the next adventure. Basically, sitting still isn’t really Cara’s thing — which makes her a very good fit for us.
To capture the zeitgeist.
The movement back to community.
How we work is an extension of how we live.
Whatever your reason for moving, we put your interests ahead of ours, always.
We’ll give you clear, honest advice and present your home with style and care.
Real, not rehearsed
No scripts, no agent cliches. Just straight answers from people who live and work here too.
Relationships over transactions
We stay in touch long after completion, because the relationship doesn’t end when the board comes down.
The test we hold ourselves to
If a traditional agency would do it, we won’t. Meaningful innovation, no agency speak, face to face over phone to phone.
Community-led, not just local
We’re building genuine partnerships with independent businesses in the areas we work in, because a good move is about more than the property.
